What is a Radar Arch/Navigation Bridge?

A radar arch is a marine grade stainless steel frame that is typically mounted at the highest point on any vessel or boat. It holds multiple accessories and increases the safety and functionality of any vessel or boat.

Benefits of a Radar Arch? Safety

- A Radar Arch provides a stable platform to mount navigation lights at the highest point of your boat. Both port and starboard side.

- It also allows the mounting of an "at anchor light" at the highest point of your boat for maximum visibility to other vessels on the water.

- Radar units can also be installed, again benefiting from being mounted high up and out of reach from potential damage.

- VHF Ariels for that very important contact to shore and life saving services can be mounted on the arch for maximum coverage and signal.

Benefits of a Radar Arch? Functional

- Prevent leaks into your boat. To install Navigation lights, anchor light, vhf, radar etc you may need to drill up to 14 holes in your boat! Our radar arches which can hold all these accessories require only 4 holes to be drilled into the boat (marine sealant provided to completely seal the mounts)

- Storage for fishing rods and nets. Our arches come with the optional extra of stainless steel rod holders with rubber protection and stoppers. This keeps fishing rods fully rigged yet safely stowed out of the immediate deck space while under way to your favorite marks and wrecks.

- Sea spray protection. Our arches also come with the optional extra of sea spray screen mounts, this allows the installation of a perspex/polycarbonate screen on the arch which reduces the sea spray hitting those on board, specifically those in control of the vessel or boat.

Did you know?

A radar arch is not only a secure platform to mount a radar unit, it also makes your vessel or boat more visible to radar itself!

Fiberglass or timber construction boats are less effective at reflecting radar. The installation of a radar arch makes your vessel easier to see and should your vessel be in trouble or breakdown, you will be easier to find in an emergency.
